As an entertainment entrepreneur, Tamara-Yolanda is often found in the midst of the shadows in media and entertainment. Her creative eagerness towards client’s expectations has allowed her to gain both exposure and recognition of her creative works.
Tamara-Yolanda broadened her interest for entertainment during her recruitment for the Walt Disney World College Program while attending Georgia Southern University. Job shadowing and networking among industry leaders channeled Tamara-Yolanda’s focus from turning her hobbies into a profession.
Returning to Savannah, Georgia, Tamara became a Production Assistant for CBS news affiliate WTOC-11. There she played a key part in studio production performing the following task: camera operator, audio mixer, prop lighting, prompter operator, and tape operator. Tamara and her media crew received an Emmy Award for outstanding achievement for news programming two consecutive years taking home top honors including one of the industry's most coveted awards, the Pacemaker, and received the Georgia Associated Press Broadcast Award.
Tamara-Yolanda continued to expand her interest within entertainment into the political arena taking on the role as a Media Relations Specialist. Tamara maintained Social Media Platforms, provided Public Relations, managed Press Releases, and scheduled Media Arrangements.
Challenged by her business savvy, creativity, and her entrepreneur niche, Tamara-Yolanda saw the gap between underserved communities and obtainable resources. She discovered the bridge of entertainment could connect the two to achieve better solutions for families and businesses.Tamara-Yolanda is the creator of the Fushon Collaborative Network; a network that provides an outlet for Indie Fashion,Film, and Music. Tamara is the founding officer for TopHill Entertainment Inc. TopHill is a nonprofit organization that utilizes the entertainment platform to provide prevention and awareness in underserved communities. Tamara has worked,coordinated, engaged, and organized annual events with corporate partners including the Coastal YMCA, HAC, Neighbor Works, and the State of Georgia DHR.
