Since 2008 I have served as VP for Communications at Oberlin College, my alma mater. Previously, I worked as Director of Blogging Communications in the MIT Office of Admissions and was a founder / partner at Blue Coda Inc.
I spend a lot of time thinking / talking about the web, social media, and online communities. Some people call me a "national expert" on these things but I find this very embarrassing. To be a national expert on something, you have to be pretty old, right? (Am I old?)
My very first job was being a rockstar. Except I was really bad at it, so I had to change careers in order to eat. I still love to play music though. Sometimes people even listen without throwing stuff.
When not working, I hang out with my awesome wife and two amazing little dudes.
