I'm the founder, chairman and editorial director of popular online watch magazine and retailer HODINKEE.
I spent a few years at a strategy consulting firm and then a few more at a big Swiss bank. I left to work on HODINKEE full time in early 2009 and never looked back.
In addition to several credits as a journalist in the likes of GQ, the FT, Forbes, Vanity Fair, the Telegraph, Esquire, and more, my personal story has been told in the pages of the New York Times, Departures, and Reuters, and was featured in a cover story for a 2013 issue of Conde Nast Traveller. I've helped build HODINKEE into a reference-grade media outlet that has the trust of over 1,000,000 users each month.
On top my editorial role at HODINKEE, I've designed and launched more than a dozen original products retailed under the HODINKEE brand, sold directly via our own e-commerce platform and mobile application, designed and developed completely in-house by HODINKEE. I have also spear-headed co-branded product collaborations with such well-regarded companies as Zenith (LVMH), Drakes of London, MB&F, George Cleverley, and Montblanc (Richemont). HODINKEE products and curated watches have been sold within the halls of several internationally reconized retailers such Club Monaco (Ralph Lauren), Bergdorf Goodman, and Harrods.
I am a graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism and have appeared on several live television broadcasts including those on CNN, MSNBC, BBC, and Bloomberg. I am member of the cultural council for the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie, a board member of the Horological Society of New York and a five-time jury member for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve.
