Ben Grogan

Hey y'all! My name is Ben Grogan, born and raised in Athens, Georgia. I am a Sophomore at UGA studying communications. An aspect of my life that I am very involved in and passionate about is my music endeavors. I am in a local band called ‘Barnhouse’, which I take a lot of pride in. With influences from the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers, we can attract a niche audience of people who appreciate the music we play. I play lead guitar in the band, accompanied by occasional singing.

I have been hard at work with music for years- playing guitar for 7 years and in the marching band at my school for over 5 years. As a freshman, I joined the UGA Redcoat band, which allowed me to expand my musical experience on a larger scale. I started my band in January of 2025, after the Redcoat season was complete. Since then, playing guitar and becoming the best musician I can be became my main priority. The feeling of euphoria that comes from playing in a band with your friends (and sounding good on-stage) cannot be replaced. I am very passionate about this, and it has made me the person I am today.
