Benjamin Lindsay is associate editor at Next Magazine, an LGBT print weekly based in SoHo. Always the passionate storyteller, he comes to New York with a big heart and bigger aspirations.

A recent honors graduate from Emerson College in Boston, Benjamin studied magazine publishing and feature writing with a minor in film studies. In addition to Next, he is a freelance assistant for Interview Magazine, a position he's held since completing an internship with the brand in January 2013. Here, he assists editors with interview research and transcriptions in addition to pitching and writing for their award-winning website. He is also a freelance research assistant to Linda Yablonsky, whose art and culture coverage can be found in W Magazine and T Magazine. Previously, he's worked as a blogger and editorial intern for a slew of national brands, including The Hollywood Reporter, Interview magazine, Out magazine, and the city's own Boston magazine. He continues to freelance for Interview, Out, and THR. Other freelance credits include Thought Catalog, The WILD, NOTofu Magazine, SOCO Magazine and Salary.com.

In his short journalistic career, Benjamin has covered everything from animal hoarding to American Idol. He has interviewed the likes of Amanda Seyfried, Forest Whitaker, Sharon Stone, Michael B. Jordan, Octavia Spencer, Eric Dane, Darren Stein, Carmen Electra, Michael Bastian, Whatever This Is creator Adam Goldman, Grammy-winner Matt Alber, Bravo’s Will Sharick and more.
