Benjamin L. Blackmon

I’m a jazz-loving, outdoorsy, semi-world traveling, ex-rugby player, who came to librarianship after an extended time as an intellectual vagabond. For me librarianship is a way of life. I thrive on learning from the library patrons with whom I interact. Whether they are working with online sources, e-readers, or traditional books, I meet them where they are in order to solve their informational needs. I am enthusiastic about teaching people to use libraries and I have experience in the both the academic and public side of librarianship. I enjoy helping people with their research needs as well as advising readers regarding their entertainment needs. Most of all, I am a fearless librarian who is ready to try new technologies and techniques for the betterment of my patrons.
