Benjamin Cole Brown has over ten years experience working with international humanitarian projects around the world. In particular, he has done extensive work in Dominican Republic, Haiti, Mexico (Baja California) and northern Thailand. As the current Manager of Operations for Live Different in Dominican Republic and Haiti, he has overseen the construction of over 150 homes, 3 schools, 3 medical clinics, as well as various projects supporting children's homes.
Benjamin's first hand experience helping in the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake of 2010 set the stage for him to be able to begin to share first hand accounts with the world through the power of his camera lens. Through his photojournalism he has shared images of lives and stories that were devastated by the destruction -- but many that were also transformed by hope and change. His photos have been featured on Ellen, Huffington Post, the New York Times and numerous other websites and publications.
As a social entrepreneur, he is the founder of the enterprise, Cambio Goods, which employs numerous local artisans in impoverished neighbourhoods in Dominican Republic with sustainable and inspiring employment and opportunities through the design and production of high quality leather goods.
