Benjamin Compton

Tampa, Florida

Benjamin Compton is a marine biologist with interest in sustainable aquaculture and environmental technology.

He went to school at Florida Institute of Technology and has conducted research in the Galapagos Islands and on prey-capture kinematics on invasive fishes. He has worked at SeaWorld Orlando as an aquarium diver and currently works at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo where he breeds wild caught Lined seahorses to help the genetic pool in AZA institutes.

During his spare time, he enjoys recreational SCUBA diving, hiking, fossil hunting, and triathlons
