BEN LUEDERS

Omaha, Nebraska, United States

Over the past decade, Ben has had the opportunity to work on a lot of exciting design projects with outstanding clients the world over. His work has been featured in How Magazine, Graphic Design USA, For Print Only, NE Creative, Design:Logo, and 1000 Dog Portraits. Ben received 8 design awards in 2013 alone – including AIGA Nebraska’s Gold medal for best Branding/Identity design and a Gold Addy for poster design. In addition to his design work – Ben is also a fervent advocate for his profession. From 2011-2012 he co-hosted The Reflex Blue Show design podcast with 36Point‘s Donovan Beery, where he interviewed designers such as Paula Scher, Robert Brunner, James Victore and Eric Madsen. Ben has also guest blogged for Neenah Paper, and has given presentations at Metropolitan Community College, The University of Nebraska in Omaha, and the University of Central Arkansas.

After moving from Hawaii to Nebraska in 2006 – Ben started Fruitful as a side-business, while still working as an art director for the Hawaii Coral Reef Initiative. Upon winning a design contest in 2011, Ben was hired by the small Omaha-based creative firm, Eleven19. It was during his time at Eleven19 that Ben discovered his love and desire for running small, friendly, local design-firm of his own. In the spring of 2013, Ben was ready to take on full-time client work as Fruitful – and he hasn’t looked back since.

Fruitful specializes in long-term client relationships – that include elements of branding, illustration, print design and interactive media.
