Benjamin M. Soto has worked in the real estate industry for over 30 years, first as an attorney and then as an entrepreneur. He is the owner of two companies that focus on real estate and holds membership in both the DC Bar and the Pennsylvania Bar.
He founded Premium Title & Escrow, LLC in 2000. The company serves Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Tennessee, and has long been recognized as one of the busiest title companies in the DMV region. With a team that boasts over 100 years of combined experience, the firm offers title searches, settlement services, and closing support for both residential and commercial transactions. They also issue Owner’s and Lender’s Title Policies, handle escrow funds, coordinate documents, and record them with Land Records to ensure clients receive clear and marketable titles.
He also owns Paramount Development, LLC, a company that develops commercial buildings and hotels in Washington, D.C. The firm has been involved in projects such as The Wharf and several apartment buildings, including 555 E Street, SW, which combines a hotel, residences, and retail space. Other developments include 1031 4th Street, NW, 350 Maple Drive, and the Hyatt Place Hotel at 400 East Street, SW. Completed in 2015, the Hyatt Place also features a fire station that houses units tasked with protecting the U.S. President.
He serves on the Boards of Directors of EagleBank, the DC Chamber of Commerce, the DC Public Education Fund, and the American University Real Estate Council. Earlier in his career, he worked on bankruptcy cases before dedicating his practice to real estate transactions. Over the years, he has served on civic boards, supported sports and education initiatives, and acted as treasurer on numerous local campaigns.
A Washington, D.C. native and graduate of American University, he has been married for 27 years and has two children, Danielle and Alex. He values travel and reading in his personal time.
