I grew up in Winnipeg, surrounded by family, hockey, and a community that taught me the value of hard work and connection. I got my first restaurant job when I was 16, and I fell in love with the energy of it — the people, the pace, the sense of purpose. In 2011, two friends approached me about joining them to help build a small restaurant called Carbone. I saw potential and took the leap.
Since then, I’ve helped grow Carbone Restaurant Group from one location to several across North America, while also launching a nightclub, a sports bar, and an events company. I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about hierarchy — it’s about consistency, empathy, and culture.
Giving back is a huge part of what drives me. I started the Restaurant Emergency Support Fund to help restaurants and food banks during tough times, and I’ve co-created scholarships and programs for kids in need. For me, business has always been about people — building something meaningful, together.
