Ben Schwartz is a Delaware jury trial lawyer. Ben was born and raised in Dover, Delaware, and graduated from Dover High School and University of Delaware. Ben obtained his Juris Doctor Magna Cum Laude from New York Law School in 2001. In that year, he was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Delaware.
Ben never wanted to do anything but try cases. He tried his first case in his second year of law school through the New York Law School Civil and Human Rights Clinic. Since being admitted to the bar, Ben has tried dozens of jury trial cases to verdict. He has tried serious felony criminal trials, personal injury cases, and employment matters before the Superior Court in each of Delaware’s three counties. He has handled significant cases on appeal to the Delaware Supreme Court, where he has participated in written advocacy as well as oral argument, including argument en banc.
Ben is a frequent writer and speaker. He curates a blog at schwartzandschwartz.com where he writes about matters involving personal injury litigation, the practice of law, and interesting law-related current events. He is a frequent lecturer on matters involving trial practice, and most recently conducted a national webinar on deposing the defense medical examiner in personal injury cases.
