Ben Larpent Photography

Hi, I’m Ben. I’m a London wedding photographer and family photographer. I live with my wonderful wife Susie and our gorgeous little toddler, Joshua!

I’m not very good at talking about myself, but here is a little something about me. I come from a creative background. I trained in music and have spent 15 years working in music management, working for some of the UK’s leading orchestras and concert halls. For as long as I can remember, photography has been my passion and the outlet for my creativity. This passion was something I initially combined with my love of travel. I spent a great deal of time photographing the people, the hustle and bustle of day-to-day street life and the extraordinary landscapes of India, the Far East and South America. It is that eye for colour, obsession with quirky detail and ability to capture fleeting moments of emotion that come alive in my wedding photography.

My friends tell me I’m a people person and that I’m friendly and approachable. I certainly enjoy getting to know new people and this has fuelled my interest in wedding photography. I want to learn all about your story, both as individuals and as a couple, and then tell that story through natural and timeless images.

As a wedding photographer I shoot in a photojournalistic style. I blend into the background and capture the important moments of your day as they unfold before me, with as little intervention as possible. I understand how important it is to document the small details that you’ve put so much time and thought into preparing. These are the things that make your day so completely unique from every other wedding. It’s important to me that not only do you have a beautiful set of images that document your day, but that when you are 80 and showing them to your grandchildren, that you have images that make you remember exactly how youfelt at that moment. Please take a moment to look at my wedding photography gallery and my portrait photography gallery. I hope you like what you see.
