Ben Luks has developed a track record of success and community leadership that spans 12 years. By the time he was 17, Ben had achieved an Order of Australia Medallion, The Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and The Queen’s Scout Award.
As Marketing Assistant for startup company LEAPIN (formally known as EASELOCK), Ben helped his team win the $5000 Piper Alderman Prize in The University of Adelaide's eChallenge 2010. The team went on to win 3rd prize in the John Heine National Entrepreneurship Challenge. In 2011, LEAPIN beat Harvard, Yale, Stanford and MIT into the finals of the Licencing Executive's Society Graduate Student Business Plan competition in London.
Ben recently graduated with Honours from the University of Adelaide, completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Marketing, Management and International Business. He is actively involved in the Advantage SA Speakers in Schools program. In 2010 and 2011, Ben was a finalist in the program's Metro Speaker of the Year Awards, placing him in the top five speakers out of 400 participants.
