Ben Lyon is an experienced attorney who currently serves as the Vice President and General Counsel of Immix BioPharma, which has recently partnered with MannKind to help develop treatments for respiratory conditions associated with COVID-19. Throughout Ben Lyon’s career as a multi-purpose corporate counsel, he has worked for technology companies both large and small and even for a few very small technology start-up companies (staff of less than of 40) such as General Things, where he was its corporate and merger-and-acquisition counsel and successfully concluded its sale to GoPro.

Mr. Lyon has worked as VP and General Counsel of San Francisco-based Ingenio (acquired by AT&T) and the Sydney Australia based nanotechology company Calumino, among other companies. Before starting his career, he obtained a bachelor of arts in rhetoric at the University of California, Davis, later earning his juris doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, graduating with honors. While attending Loyola, he was an extern at the California State Courts of Appeal and also while in law school served as a part-time law clerk at the Los Angeles Superior Court and the prestigious Wyman Bautzer spin-off of Yusim, Cassidy, Stein, Hanger and Olsen in Beverly Hills.

Ben Lyon is a long time member of the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel, where he serves on its Board and as vice president. In addition, he is a motivational speaker on topics related to entrepreneurship. He is also periodically a visiting profesor at law schools in Europe lecturing on the law and practice of building successful technology startups.
