I used to say that deliciousness was my primary concern. Over time, I have come to find that I was, very slightly, off my mark. People are my primary concern. I'm most interested in the personal interaction between a host and guest.
Hospitality is the vehicle to show a guest our craft. I'm partial to beverage crafts having serious interest in beer, wine and a balanced cocktail.
Professionally, I've focused on coffee. For the last 5 years I have worked for Blue Bottle Coffee. In that time I have done many things from making coffee to traveling to Ethiopia to helping in retail development
I am currently at Equator Coffee where I run retail operations in existing shops and help getting new retail shops off the ground as smoothly as possible.
This summer I will be moving to Sacramento to start a life with my wife and contribute as best I can to the bustling food and beverage scene there.
In my free time I enjoy playing with (and drinking) beverages, reading cookbooks, walking around a new place, thinking about where to go next, shvitzing in a sauna, looking up and laughing.
