Student, Public Speaker, and Prayer Staff in Los Angeles, California

Hello All,

My name is Ben Sosa and I am originally from South Los Angeles, CA. As a High Schooler I served as a church usher and sound board manager but in college I felt a calling from the Lord into Ministry.

I went to Biola University as a Christian Ministries major with a Bible minor and serve in school ministry as a volunteer to the student led Chapel, "AfterDark". In AfterDark along with a small group of students we planned, organized and ran a weekly student-led chapel for over 500 students. Through that ministry I gained an appreciation for the fullness of the Body of Christ regardless of denomination or cultural background, I learned the effectiveness of working with a team to develop services.

In the summer of 2014 I was able to be a part of a missions trip to Nepal, where I was led to minister and be part of be part of a team of Biola students, through this trip we were able to minister to refugees and underprivileged kids with the first VBS training to that country, to this date many nationals have replicated from the format that we taught to the leaders and many children and families have been impacted for Christ through that VBS ministry.

In the Summer of 2015, I joined Pasadena International House of Prayer where I am a volunteer staff member. Through the House of Prayer I have been led to grow in prayer and meditating on the Word. It has been the greatest blessing in the world to be a part of a ministry that loves worship, prayer and missions. It has led me to a strengthened faith and intimacy with Jesus.

Starting this Fall I will be a Masters Candidate at Talbot School of Theology at Biola University.

I am in the process to be a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God with the SoCal Network.
