My vision is for a wedding industry inclusive of all couples, including same-sex couples. This is my life's work. I the nation's leading same-sex wedding expert and founder and president of 14 Stories, the first company in the U.S. specializing in planning legal gay and lesbian weddings.

In 2004, when gay marriage was first legalized in Massachusetts, I envisioned a wedding production company for engaged same-sex couples looking to navigate a traditional wedding industry. Since then, my team and I have produced hundreds of LGBT weddings, working with couples from nearly every U.S. states and around the world.

Through the 14 Stories Gay Wedding Institute, I regularly train my wedding industry peers around the world about the nuances of working with LGBT couples on their wedding plans.

I am the award-winning author of three books on same-sex weddings: Gay Wedding Confidential, The Lesbian Couple's Guide to Wedding Planning and The Business of Gay Weddings: a Guide for Wedding Professionals. My expertise has been sought after by the Today Show, the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, Travel and National Public Radio, among others. I am a regular contributor to the Huffington Post and TheKnot.com and advisor to many wedding industry groups.
