Hey there, I’m Bernadette Louise Halili.

I am a political economist, with a strong vocation for research and teaching.

I earned my Ph.D. in Economic Integration (Extraordinary Doctorate Award in Economics 2025, Sobresaliente cum laude) and Master’s degree in International Studies, both from the University of the Basque Country, and my Bachelor’s degree Majoring in Economics (Best Undergraduate Thesis in Economics, Honourable Mention), with a Minor in Spanish from the Ateneo de Manila University. In 2024, I was also awarded the Mark Hayes Prize by the Post-Keynesian Economics Society.

I am Assistant Professor at the Department of Social and Human Sciences of the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain
