Bernard D. Borowski

Bernard D. Borowski is a Change Agent, Financial and Treasury operations executive with 18 years of global experience. He was certified Lean-Six-Sigma Master-Black-Belt while on the prestigious GE Corporate Audit Staff. He also developed expertise in Change Acceleration (CAP) and Auditing gained whilst working at GE and Arthur Andersen.

Bernard also developed expertise in Performance Management and is an Evaluate To Win certified consultant. Jack Welch, the former CEO of GE, says that Evaluate To Win is the best performance management system he has ever seen.

Bernard has a broad range of industry exposure: financial services, commercial & consumer lending, banking, consumer products, food manufacturing, aviation, healthcare, oil & gas.

Most recently, Bernard served as an Executive Director in Finance Strategy, Operations and Technology at Morgan Stanley in New York. Prior to that, he held Quality and Financial Operations roles at GE for 12 years in the United States and France, in the consumer and commercial lending businesses as well as with GE Treasury. Bernard also held Financial and Operational Auditing roles at Arthur Andersen in Paris, France and Tel-Aviv, Israel, and at Bestfoods in the United Kingdom.

Bernard managed day-to-day service delivery operations of customer-facing organizations (GE Commercial Finance Cash Desk), turned around their performance and re-energized the teams. He developed expertise in bridging the gap between vision and execution, drove large-scale cross-functional programs, set teams up for successful execution in sensitive products (cash), organizational change and outsourcing (offshore CoE), complex instruments (intercompany funding, front-to-back product control), regulatory readiness (Basel), operational risk & control.

Bernard also developed a customer centric approach and a consulting mindset early on at Arthur Andersen and GE Audit Staff. He quickly made impact on clients' operations (Rapid Automation Development, simplified workflow) while driving longer term system overhauls. He coached teams through leveraging Lean-Six-Sigma to enhance audits and led formal education & learning Six Sigma program as a Master Black Belt.
