Bernard is a qualified Urban & Regional Planner with 35 years of experience in the various facets of strategic and statutory planning...and preparing communities for their future.

With a unique ability to manage ambiguity in sensitive fast evolving environments, matched with the ability to identify, broker and achieve outcomes, Bernard's expertise and skills are widely recognised and valued especially for communities undergoing change.

Significant projects undertaken include the initial master plan for the City of Dubai in the early 1990's, direction and management of Australia's multi-award winning Wide Bay 2020 Regional Plan and development of the strategy to guide Australia's fastest growing City (Gold Coast) to 2026. As Director for Planning for AECOM Libya's $65B Housing and Infrastructure Program, Bernard worked closely with a range of top-tier design entities to develop 43 mega-scale urban regeneration and greenfield master plans catering for more than 285,000 dwellings.
