Bernard Gabriel Kivuma is a graduate Medical Doctor from the Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College. He has held multiple leadership positions at college and national levels including as the President of Tanzania Medical Students Association-KCMUCo Chapter (TAMSA-KCMUCo, 2017-2018) and as the International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA) - National Officer on Human Rights and Peace (2015-2017). Moreover, He has participated in several research activities in collaboration with Cornell University on Tanzanian policy issues and Duke University on investigating communicable diseases. In addition to research work, he is a trained Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certified by the American Heart Association (AHA), 2019. He is also a co-founder and Programmes’ Manager for Disability Repro-Light which is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) that deals with Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for adolescents and youths with disabilities. He is a motivated change-maker with special interests in community health initiatives, advocacy work, minority health, and improving public health services for key populations.
