Bernard Rosenson

With an entrepreneurial spirit, an instinct for trends, and an unfailing zest for life, Bernard Rosenson defines himself by his diverse interests and thirst for knowledge.

Bernard Rosenson began his career in the healthcare field and subsequently moved into the restaurant and hospitality industry. In 1997, The Sky Room, opened and has since received many awards and accolades including being named one of the “most romantic restaurants” in the country, and also a Four Diamond rating for AAA. After the success of the restaurant, Bernard Rosenson went on to realize his next lifelong dream and passion, to make fine wine. Growing up in France, Rosenson was exposed to wine at a young age. He clearly remembers his father drinking table wine at meals. In 2005, Coquelicot Estate Vineyard was acquired and this extraordinary property became one that is close to his heart. The vineyard is comprised of 58 acres of organically grown grapes in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley.

Rosenson enjoys traveling often and expanding his food and wine knowledge at every turn. He and his wife Cynthia have been happily married for over forty years, with three grown children who all participate in the family business.
