David Berney

David focuses on innovating businesses to create relevant customer experiences in this digitally centric world. His focus on digital innovation started in 1997, as the world began its migration from traditional media to the web. He joined CMGI the originators of the early Internet brands Lycos, Geocities, MyWay and AdSmart. David is currently with Publicis Groupe Production Platforms | Mundocom Worldwide (1200 employees) as part of the global operations executive leadership team. His primary responsibility is reshaping the New York City offices and expanding the operation into Canada /Americas to create cross-media production centers. David brought previous executive leadership experience having joined from SapientNitro’s New York office where he had P&L; responsibility and lead a number of key relationships with clients such as News Corp’s Wall Street Journal Digital Network, Associated Press, RollingStone/ Wenner Media, Unilever, Hugo Boss, Allianz, MetLife and Scripps Network Digital. Prior to Sapient David spent seven years at Razorfish working with Procter and Gamble, Lenovo, Wyndham Worldwide, MTV, the Government of Dubai, AT&T;, Netbank, Coca Cola, Taj Hotel’s Resorts and Palaces, Burt’s Bees to name a few. David brings expertise in media/ publishing, travel and retail through new venture creation based on senior management roles at Delta Air Lines, and eHatchery, an IdeaLab company. Prior to working in digital marketing, he spent eight years in the media and publishing industry in divisions of Time Warner/ Time Inc. and American Express Publishing. David has a BA in Economics from Emory University and studied international business at Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland. David specializes in leading teams and organizations to re-think, re-engineer, re-vitalize and re-imagine their business.
