Information Scientist in Berlin, Deutschland

I am working as a librarian at Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz, my task is to process loan- and digitisation requests for exhibitions, I serve as library tour guide and volunteer as peer mentor for addiction issues. At Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin I studied Library and Information Science (M.A. LIS) with emphasis on Information literacy, Semantic Web, Linked open data and the curation of a library- and digital exhibition, based on the avant-gardist Sturm-Archiv. As a second area of activity I am Practitioner for Psychotherapy, therfor I am in education as Trauma Therapist. In my borough I voluntarily function as Neigbourhood Council Member and I am involved in welcoming immigrants.

Before I have been living in Vienna, working at art institutions such as Belvedere Museum, Kunsthalle Wien, Palais Dorotheum, Hofburg and Schönbrunn Palace and I underwent trainings on Culture, Business and Diversity Management. Within the scope of my responsibilities at Belvedere Research Center, my biggest luck has been, that I was able to contribute to the restitution of Gustav Klimts Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I., which is at Neue Galerie New York today. Privately I enjoyed a lot living in Leopoldstadt close to Prater and Danube.

At Leopold-Franzens-Universität Innsbruck I studied Art History (Mag. phil.) - with priority on Modernism, Non-European Art and Gender Studies - , European Ethnology, Romance Studies and Medicine. Among others I jobbed at Kunsthalle Tirol im Salzlager Hall, Architekturzentrum Tirol, Innsbrucker Festwochen der Alten Musik, Tiroler Landestheater and Kunstraum Innsbruck. I graduated from an artistic high school with i.a. a paper about foreign workers, after I was on Intercultural and Interreligious Sabbatical.

I have a passion for languages, travelling, different cultures and unusual contacts. I speak English and German fluently, have some knowledge - in ongoing learning processes - in Italian, Spanish, Russian and Turkish.
