Hi, I’m Bernice Asein, a Fashion, Startup, and Technology Lawyer based in Lagos, Nigeria. I’ve dedicated my career to supporting fashion entrepreneurs and startups as they navigate the legal complexities of the industry.

I’m the founder and executive director of the Fashion Law Institute Africa, the first institution on the continent dedicated to the intersection of fashion and law. Our mission is to empower fashion designers, creatives, and stakeholders by providing representation, legal education, resources, and support.

In addition to my work at the Institute, I lead Cardinal Counsel, a fashion and startup law firm with a team of professionals, who are drawn together by a shared vision of transforming the delivery of legal services in Africa.
