All foreign nationals who travel to Singapore must have the Singapore Electronic Arrival card. The SG Card contains the foreign visitor's details, their intended travel arrangements while in Singapore, and an immunization. These cards can be obtained from various travel agents and online stores. Visitors can also request to have the cards printed and mailed to themselves. They can also make their own.

The purpose of acquiring the Singapore electronic arrival card is to facilitate the entry into the country of Singapore. This is done through the Ministry of Home Affairs. For those coming to work in Singapore or for any other purpose, it is required that one makes a personal visit to the Settlement Department. Upon completion of this task, the applicant will be required to submit their personal e to the government. The amount of the administrative charge is $5.00 per applicant, per month, irrespective of the duration of their visa status. The processing of the application for the Singapore electronic arrival card may take up to four weeks to the applicant submit their completed Singapore sg card and passport. The passport application form, payment receipt and copy of the birth certificate are all required for the Singapore electronic card application.
