This will be my eighth year teaching at Holly Hill. I am excited about the upcoming adventures that await us this year. I received my BA in Early Childhood Education from Wilmington College and my MA in Special Education from Walden University. Currently, I am working on my second MA in educational leadership.
I live in Batavia with my husband and two dogs, Caleb (Bichon) and Frosty (Bichon-Poo). I have a niece, Addyson and nephew, Cayden who are a lot of fun and I enjoy spending time with them.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy traveling. The beach is my favorite place to vacation, especially along the gulf side. My future traveling plans are to go out west. I hope to visit the Grand Canyon one day.
My absolute favorite season is fall! I love watching the leaves transition into autumn colors. I love reading. When I read fiction, I typically choose mysteries and adventures. For nonfiction, I love reading devotionals, biographies, American History, and of course, books about how to be the best teacher I can be:)
I can’t wait to find out your favorite genres! If you're not sure, don't worry; I can help!
With every new school year I get "butterflies in my stomach" because I am so excited to begin a new year! I enjoy finding ways to inspire students to become life-long learners and believe every student who walks in my classroom is destined for greatness.
