I'm an aspiring designer with a love for simplicity, elegance, and function. I'm enthusiastic about learning new things and absorbing everything I can with the latest tech. Dabbled in school enough to feel like the academia couldn't keep up with the pace of the web and left to pursue learning more on my own. I am interested and have worked in both front-end web development, video game studios, and print publications.
I've been tinkering with computers and video games since I was a kid, which lead to landing my first web design job for a start-up company while I was in Florida. I then took a gamble and headed out to Vegas for an internship. That internship turned into a full time position where I was lucky to work with some very talented and hardworking folks.
Born and raised in Kansas with pretty simple philosophies - treat people how you want to be treated and don't be a jerk. I've lived everywhere from either coasts and places inbetween. Wanting to escape the Vegas heat, I made the leap to Seattle through a great opportunity as Senior Web Designer at Fisher Interactive (now Sinclair.)
Been a geek before it was cool, with a passion for art & design. When not glued to my computer, I love going to concerts and road trippin'. My free time includes playing too many video games, nerd cards, concerts, and exploring the city. Music is my blood and I listen to a little bit of everything, but you can judge me over on my last.fm. Two felines keep me company, as well as some great friends and an amazing boyfriend. I unapologetically love: music, illustrating, concerts, traveling, collecting stationary, intelligent people with ambition, and s'mores.
