Beth Grosshans
Clinical Child Psychologist in Princeton, New Jersey
Psychologist Beth Grosshans holds a high degree of expertise in her field. In addition to possessing over twenty-five years of experience in clinical child psychology, Beth Grosshans also has earned both a master’s degree and a doctorate in child development from Ohio State University.
Among Beth Grosshans' many areas of expertise is helping parents whose children demonstrate a variety of negative behaviors, such as uncooperativeness and unruliness. Since these behaviors often result from parents turning over too much power to children, Dr. Grosshans works with them to help them utilize new parenting approaches. Her book, “Beyond Time-Out: From Chaos to Calm,” outlines techniques that help combat this behavior. She has also contributed to “Raising Great Parents,” a parenting anthology due in stores soon.
In addition to her writing and her experience working with children and their families in her private practice, Dr. Grosshans has also taught a child development course at the Princeton Center for Teacher Education for many years. There, she shared her expertise in child psychology with teachers in training to become Montessori educators.
