A senior fellow with the American Association of State Colleges and Universities,Betsy Boze writes and researches issues on U.S. and international higher education. Betsy Boze is currently writing and researching a book on the benefits of public college and university education, and provide a framework for demonstrating value added.
From 2010 to 2014, Dr. Boze served as President of The College of The Bahamas. She oversaw the Commonwealth’s national higher education system spanning several campuses, research stations and teaching centers. Her accomplishments included opening the Harry C. Moore Library at the Oakes Field Campus and the new Northern Bahamas Campus. She also spearheaded the development of global partnerships that included creation of a Confucius Institute sponsored by the HANBAN in partnership with Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology.
Dr. Boze serves on the board of the International Association of Universities (IAU), a United Nations affiliate and the Betty and Paul McDonald Foundation. In her free time, Betsy Boze enjoys adventure sports and outdoor activities such as kite flying, scuba diving, climbing, and kayaking.
