While working toward her juris doctor from the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, attorney Betsy Shaulis clerked in Carroll County and Jo Daviess County. She graduated from law school in 2006, and subsequently returned to Northwest Illinois to practice law.

After 6 years in Galena, she relocated to nearby Lanark, IL, where she began leading the practice of Meyers & Shaulis, PC. From Lanark, IL, the accomplished attorney is currently running for judge, looking to become the first female resident judge in the history of Carroll County.

Betsy Shaulis is fluent in three different languages. She is the author of Multinational Corporations in Brazil: Theories & Practices and Amigos Para Sempre: A Non-Governmental Organization in the Vila Vintem Favela in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil.
