I have been and always will be a strong advocate for everything that's Public Health. After working as a nurse in the hospital, school and community settings, I realized that Prevention is the key to good health and wellness. So, I became a Public Health practitioner, specializing in Health Education and Health Promotion. Along the way I have had the opportunity to work as an epidemiologist, health program associate and an associate research analyst in the areas of environmental and occupational health, maternal and child health, child welfare, and cardiovascular disease and diabetes. And, I have had the pleasure of communicating with others through teaching and blogging on a Web site I have maintained for over 11 years. I am grateful every day that I can do all the things I love to do and have the support of a wonderful husband and two great children and their spouses.
