New York is where I spent my childhood and young adult life. I've lived in Dallas, TX, Half Moon Bay, and La Jolla CA. then decided to come back to the east coast. I currently live in Blackrock Ct. My passions are traveling and photography. Most of the time I travel to photograph. I started photographing wildlife in 2005 when I went to a workshop in Utah to photograph exotic animals on a ranch. I was hooked. In 2006 I visited South Africa with my two daughters and a bunch of friends. The last 4 days of our trip were spent at Sabi Sabi, which was a private game reserve. We went on safari every morning and evening. The excitement of seeing these majestic animals so close was like nothing I've ever felt. This feeling has brought me back to Africa four more times. I spent the next three years photographing primarily wildlife. I have traveled to many places through out my life, working for American Airlines for 26 years. My love of photography didn't kick in until I left American. Currently I am trying to branch out and photograph people, landscapes and other interesting subjects. To help this process I began my "Project 365" which entailed taking a photograph, processing it and posting it to my blog every day for one year. I am Secretary of The Norwalk Camera Club, a member of the Photography Club of Lower Fairfield County, and belong to the Fairfield Photographers Network. I have done very well in competition in the clubs and in competitions through out New England. In 2008 I had the honor of receiving "Photographer of the Year" in the Norwalk Camera Club. In 2010 I was awarded "Photographer of the Year" in both the Norwalk Camera Club and the Photography Club of Lower Fairfield County. 2011 brought me the title of "Photographer of the Year" for the Photography Club of Lower Fairfield County once again. I've decided to take a break for a while and haven't competed for the past six months. On Jan 1, 2012 I will start a new blog about my journey to getting back to good health.
