BIO: BEV MOSS-REILLY THE WORD SPECIALIST

Born in the mid- sixties, I was raised in Cape Town, South Africa, the home of my heart! After matriculating in 1982, I went to Barkly House Teacher’s Training College where I obtained my Higher Diploma in Education.

I graduated with a First- Class Pass for both my Diploma and Higher Diploma in Education.

At my matric Valedictory Service, I was awarded the most prestigious award which was presented to the student who the school was most proud to send out into the world.

My career trajectory throughout my life has been flavoured with diversity which has allowed me growth and experience in various avenues.

Throughout all that I have done, I have always been chased by my literary creativity. Words first flowed to paper before the development of online technology, that soon changed.

I have a varied portfolio representing my experience.

My talent was first recognized and acknowledged early in my life by an insightful teacher. Such positive reinforcement projected me to expressing this gift which has escalated with passion.

Thus, I am offering my services to those who may require such skills.

I work online from home as a freelance writer.

I have a genuine interest in food, nutrition, presentation as well as the social aspect of eating out. I have written hundreds of restaurant reviews. In so doing, I look beyond the presentation and taste of the food, but also the décor, layout, lighting, service and reception and of course the ambience.

I understand the psychology of the restaurant business.

Running concurrent to all the above, I have always kept my hand in the writing industry.

I have done various short courses over and above my Teaching Diploma.

I have done Life Line Courses 1 and 2 as well as a course in Business Management and Human Resources.

I have a strong sense of integrity and live a clean and honest life as a responsible citizen. Being an open- minded person, I am accepting of differences and am nonjudgmental.

I am a loyal and supportive person and always consider other’s needs.

I have a great love for animals, in particular, a passion for dogs.

I love the beauty of nature and enjoy the opportunity of absorbing it.
