Hello, I'm Brendan Goodger.

I'm the founding Director of Signus Legal, practicing from Woden in the Australian Capital Territory, specialising in commercial law matters.

What do I mean by 'commercial law'? Well, the answer is a lot of things! Commercial law covers almost anything that a business (or business person) finds themselves involved in. That includes transactions such as buying and selling businesses, shares in companies or commercial property, as well as planning and putting in place the right legal structures to make those transactions happen smoothly in the first place.

As for me, I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Journalism from the University of Queensland in 2006. I decided during those studies that being a working journalist wasn't for me (look up 'death knocks' and you'll know why) so after graduation I shifted my focus to law, and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology in 2013. That year I also completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the Australian National University, and was admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT in December 2013.

The rest, they say, is history. Outside of the office you are most likely to find me outside on a bicycle, or hidden away inside building models. As an avid miniature wargamer, I often have more projects on the go than I can realistically hope to finish (both in this lifetime and the next).
