Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Department of Education, and Fulbright, my research examines the intersection of humanitarian aid and states in the experience of citizenship for forced migrants in East Africa. I also study immigrant serving organizations in the United States and the categorization of unaccompanied immigrant children at the US - Mexico border.
