I was born in Kailua, Hawaii and lived there for about ten years. I then moved to Killeen, Texas and lived there ever since. I was raised as a Seventh-day Adventist and as a pastor’s kid. I attended a private SDA school for the majority of my life until I reached high school. Growing up I always had a difficult time in school, it was not until a special teacher took the time to interact, teach, and praise my accomplishments that I found the motivation to do better in school. When I entered college I had no idea what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. All I knew was that I wanted a job in which I could help others and also be able to give all glory to God. So when I entered the psychology and teaching program at Southwestern Adventist University I knew I was finally on the right path. My dream is that like that teacher I may be able to influence and teach another child about life and also give them the necessary knowledge to succeed.
