Bhakti Yoga Society of Delaware

The Bhakti Yoga Society of Delaware is a non-profit organization which is registered entity in state of Delaware strives to bring a sense of peace and well-being to the community by teaching the spiritual practice of bhakti yoga.

This form of yoga fosters loving devotion through spiritualizing one's activities by performing them as service to others and God. The main meditative practice of Bhakti yoga is the recitation of mantra,

"HARE KRISHNA HARE KRISHNA - KRISHNA KRISHNA HARE HARE
HARE RAMA HARE RAMA - RAMA RAMA HARE HARE".

Through the chanting of this 16-syllable mantra, one can achieve a more calm and peaceful mind thus awakening their innate spirituality and their desire to selflessly serve others and God.

In 1965, His Divine Grace A.C Bhakti Vedanta Swami (also known as Srila Prabhupada) brought the message of Sri Chaitanya, who taught the practice of bhakti yoga, to the West. Since then, millions of people worldwide have benefitted by following their teachings.

The society serves the residents of Delaware through several annual festivals, Vegetarian food distribution, Philosophy, weekly gatherings, children's activities, summer camps, retreats, yoga and meditation classes along with spiritual counseling for the benefit of the community. Society strives to serve anyone and everyone without any discrimination and everyone are welcome to participate, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation or religious belief.
