Music Education: - Bhanu Pratap Joshi is
a young singer and musician of Joshi
Gharana. He found music environment in his family since childhood and started receiving formal education of tabla from his grandfather Pandit Shivnarayan Joshi at a very young age of 6 years and after demise of Pt.Shiv Narayan Joshi he continued his tabla lessons from father Pandit Santosh Joshi. Simultaneously, he also started learning Khayal singing, Bhajans and folk songs. Passed out from Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyapeeth (currently Bhatkhande Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya) with first class in music
vocal and tabla playing and also having Master’s degree from Raja Mansingh Tomar Music & Arts University Gwalior, Madhyapradesh.
Career and Achievements: - At the time of college level education, stood first at college level and second at the state level in the state level classical singing competition of Rajasthan government. He also earned fame in tabla by playing tabla with many prominent singers and
jugalbandi with South Indian mridangam players. He performed and
promoted the music of his gharana by performing classical khyals and
bhajans at Mysore, Cuddalore, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Barmer, Chennai,
Ernakulam, Prayagraj and many other places. He enthralled the audience
in South India with the nuances of Hindustani music by performing
khayal and bhajan recitals at Margazhi Music Festival, Neyveli.
He gave training in music at Shiksha High School, Bikaner and Binani
Girls College, Bikaner. Presently you are working as a music teacher in
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan since the year 2012.
