As Director of the Risk Services practice at the accounting firm of Watkins Meegan, LLC, Bhavesh Vadhani oversees the practice with a focus on achieving strategic growth, meeting client expectations, developing a team of professionals, and bringing in new business. Mr. Vadhani is integrally involved in the development and implementation of standards, operational policies, and procedures within the firm, leading technical audit and security training initiatives. At present, he builds on a dozen years of advisory experience, during which time he has worked with the CIOs and CISOs of numerous firms in consulting roles in the realm of IT Risk, Information Security, and IT Portfolio Management.
Bhavesh Vadhani earned a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Mumbai in 1998. He subsequently completed an MBA in Management Information Systems at the University of Baltimore. Working with Ernst & Young, LLP, from 2000 to 2007, he initially focused on implementing complex security solutions, including identity and access management, as well as public key infrastructure systems. Mr. Vadhani rose quickly through the ranks at Ernst & Young, advancing from intern to Senior IT Security Consultant within two years. Notably, he assisted teams tasked by Fortune 500 financial services companies with defining and implementing a role-based access control model, utilizing Computer Associates’ eTrust product suite. Bhavesh Vadhani also assisted a leading automobile manufacturing firm in developing and implementing security standards and procedures in accordance with industry leading practices. Mr. Vadhani maintains several ongoing consulting engagements through Watkins Meegan, LLC. The engagements span diverse fields, including satellite communications, federal and county government, not-for-profit, application hosting and services providers, and technology reselling. Bhavesh Vadhani has led several IT risk assessment engagements, system and application assessments, and disaster recovery program. He has also assisted organizations of various sizes to adopt IT governance frameworks like CoBIT.
Moreover, Bhavesh Vadhani serves as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He holds certifications in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) and Risk and Information Systems Controls (CRISC), with a Public Trust 6c Clearance.
