Possesses a unique mix of legal, financial, operational and technical knowledge, which complements and extends Scania Capital's entrepreneurial and financial expertise. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in new business start-ups and development, and proven entrepreneurial skills in introducing leading edge technologies, including strategic planning, market analysis and capital raising initiatives. Prior to joining Scania Capital, Ben founded Big Ben Venture Partner (bigbenventure.com) in 1992, a private international financial consulting firm engaged in developing strategies and business plans for innovation projects within fields of information technology, clean technology, digital communications, intermodal transportation, combined food science and appliance projects, Internet sales and marketing projects, as well as corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions.

In the 1990's, Ben also spent four years as Executive Board Director for a development project under the Chairmanship of Hans Cavalli-Björkman (previously CEO Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken) responsible for strategic planning and capital financing. Ben has also acted as the CEO and President for CD Plant AB (Sweden) for four years in the 1980’s and led the process from planning to commercialization of the largest production unit for Optical Disc’s in Northern Europe; at the time a cutting edge technology.

Ben’s noteworthy cultural appreciation has led him to be the founder of the art music record company, The Big Ben Phonogram Company Ltd. (U.K.), where he has successfully released records on the global market, including world-renowned artists such as Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Christoph Eschenbach, Sir Antonio "Tony" Pappano, Inga Nielsen and Justus Frantz. He holds a Masters of Laws Degree (LL.M.) from the Lund University in Sweden, and has written a Graduate Thesis on the subject "The Inventive Step" (with distinction).
