I love customs and traditions from around the world. After leaving Kenya as a kid, growing up in England and now moving to Canada with my family, I'm struggling to hold onto what I can of the culture I know and grew up with.
After graduating from South Bank University in London with a BSc (Hons) in Marketing & Management, I worked in the corporate world for many years. I decided I needed to find a passion that didn't require working 70 hours plus a week.
My dream had always included travelling to India and I backpacked for almost two years loving every minute of it.
My adventures play a huge part in my work. From the Taj Mahal in Agra to the mountains of Simla, desserts of Rajisthan and beaches of Goa, there was always something amazing that caught my eye whether it was the architecture or hand crafted antiques, marble pillars or inlays, the beauty was all around her. The photographs were memories of a wonderful adventure but today, they are my inspiration.
From the henna art to the hand painted glassware pieces, I love bringing a unique ethnic art into people's homes and this is something I can smile about as everyone takes home a piece of my culture and tradition.
The Art of Henna can be added to any event and we specialises in small and large groups from parties, belly blessings, bridal showers, corporate events, community events, book clubs to school presentations.
