Ger Odock is a B.A. Sociology Degree holder, Nakuru Kenya, a Higher Diploma Holder in Community Development and Certificate Holder in Project Design, Implementation and Management from Africa Development Institute
Currently he is a Capacity Development Advisor with MS ActionAid Denmark – this is a strategic capacity and support program for ActionAid international Country Programs globally with particular focus on; Documentation & Rapportuering, Impact Assessment and Shared Learning (M&E), Social Accountability, Advocacy & Campaigns and HRBA in development programming.
Within the same facet, Ger supports communities on conceptualizing, implementing and monitoring Income Generating Activities (IGAs) and local and national government projects at community levels. He has a vast understanding of community and capacity Development work in Kenya and Uganda having previously worked with NGOs and groups in the said countries in various capacities.
He has also done different forms of documentation in support to individuals and organizations including; Building East African Community (BEACON), CLARION, Concern World Wide (CWW) and Ministry of Health - The Department For Leprosy, Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (DLTLD) just to mention but a few.
Ger has great interests in Capacity Building and Development work in general with a focus on; Education development and programming, civic education and awareness (good governance) and advocacy & campaigns, programs design, conceptualization and management, monitoring & evaluation, documentation and reporting.
Besides formal education, Ger has attended and merited in several trainings including but not limited to; Front Loading RBA in Budgeting, in (Human Rights), Civic Education Awareness and Engagement, HRBA, Your Health and HIV / AIDS at the work place, Access to Information under the Right to Information as enshrined in the constitution, Proposal and Budget Development, Human Rights in enforcing Dignified livelihoods.
