John Flores

Born in Dallas, grew up on a family ranch near Fort Worth, served four years as search-and-rescue crewman in the U.S. Coast Guard, attended University of Texas at Austin and worked part-time for U.S. Sen. Lloyd Bentsen, then graduated from his dual senate/presidential campaign and spent the next decade-plus as a daily newspaper reporter. Now write books and live in New Mexico.
