What makes her different is her multicultural background, which always influenced her music choices. Dalinda was born and raised in Libya, by Bosnian parents, finally settling in the UK.
Her first album ‘Turquoise’ was released by ARC and produced by Hossam Ramzy of the Peter Gabriel, Page and Plant fame, gaining audiences worldwide.
Egypt and collaboration with Hamid AlShairi came next, resulting in 17 weeks in Arabic Top Ten Charts for the song ‘Leish’, also the most downloaded ringtone of the year 2006.
Last few years of the last decade saw her working on different projects with various artists, such as featuring for C. Rivas (‘Ay Dalai’, for Sarah Silverman Show, MTV) Phil Thornton (‘Ederlezi Trance’ on Nexus Tribal) and Simon Williams (Mandragora and Earthdance mixes), etc.
ARC release of her ‘Songs from Libya’ almost coincides with ‘Waternixie’, her new and independent album in which she joins forces with producer Pete Murray, as well as musicians from all over the world, and in true crossover spirit -- sings in three languages: English, Arabic, Serbian.
