MAW, the abbreviation of Morang Auto Works, was founded in Nepal by its founding Chairman, Late Mr. P.R. Agarwal, with the establishment of an engineering workshop in Biratnagar. Over the years, MAW Group expanded into the distribution of reputed automobile and ancillary brands such as Goodyear Tyres, Mico Bosch, Mahle, Goetze, and Talbros Gaskets.

In 1975 AD, MAW entered the two-wheeler segment by acquiring the dealership of Escorts/Rajdoot Motorcycles, which later evolved into Yamaha. Today, MAW proudly serves as an authorized dealer of Yamaha Nepal, offering a wide range of genuine Yamaha motorcycles and scooters along with trusted sales, service, and spare parts support across the country.
MAW further diversified its operations by launching its Engineering Division in 1998, introducing globally recognized products such as Greaves Gensets, Ingersoll-Rand Compressors, Mettler Toledo Weigh Solutions, and ECEL material handling products.
