I am an award-winning humanitarian, educator, facilitator, and mentor. I hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Sociology from Jimma University (JU) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Adult Education and Community Development from Mattu University (MaU). These academic qualifications have provided me with a strong foundation for understanding societal dynamics and promoting meaningful social change.
I have over ten (10) years of exp's in the development sector. I am a highly skilled and experienced professional with a diverse background in training, protection entrepreneurship, Community development, gender, rehabilitation, research, data enumeration. I have a proven ability to plan, implement, and report on project activities, as well as to provide training and technical support. I am also experienced in data collection and analysis, with demonstrated expertise in working with diverse populations, including youth, people with disabilities, and refugees. I possess strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
My efforts have been recognized through several accolades, including the 2023 (Hpass) Learner of the Year Gold Medalist Award, where I earned 125 certificates and more than 86 badges within one year, along with a Gold Badge from the Humanitarian Leadership Academy (HLA). Currently, I serve as a Training Officer at the Development Expertise Center (DEC), where I provide comprehensive life skills, employability, and entrepreneurship training for out-of-school youth, incorporating practical exercises and field-based learning activities.
Previously, I worked as a Rehabilitation Officer at the (RaDO). In this role, I facilitated skills training for parents and guardians of children with disabilities and promoted their personal and social development at the refugee camp level.
