Consultant in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Combining 25 years in mainstream journalism and more than a decade in communications, Bill Walker has deep experience and a network of personal contacts in both fields.
During his long career at The Toronto Star he served as Queen's Park Bureau Chief at the provincial legislature in Toronto, Parliamentary Bureau Chief in Ottawa, and Washington Bureau Chief during President George Bush's first term and the attacks on 9/11.
He has split time at two significant PR firms during the past decade; first at a growing agency with a North American footprint and then as General Manager with one of the world's largest global PR firms. He has managed major issues in both the private and public sector with a balance of media and political acuity.
He attended the University of Toronto and is a recent graduate of Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government Executive Education program Leadership in Crisis.
