As CEO of Woodruff Construction, Bill Woodruff draws on more than 25 years of industry experience. He entered the construction industry in 1989 after a year of service in the Peace Corps in Honduras. Bill Woodruff originally joined the company as a project manager and estimator at its Fort Dodge, Iowa, office, where he served before assuming leadership in 2002.
Now based in Ames, Bill Woodruff nurtures strong working relationships with a network of skilled subcontractors and ensures that all personnel on-site adhere to the company's high standards of safety. Having personally completed the official 30-hour training program available through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Mr. Woodruff oversees the company's internal Think 12 safety program. Insistent on quality as well, he has received the Design-Build Institute of America's Distinguished Leadership Award for his efficient management of integrated contracting services.
